When the biggest reno challenge to a bathroom is space!

Updated: Jun 6, 2021

The Kerr St Project in Oakville.

I had the pleasure of working with Christine of Christine Flack Design Group.

Despite the challenge of having a lack of space with this bathroom, Christine successfully designed and transformed this bathroom into luxury and sophistication by adding details to every inch -- making the space to appear larger!

Before:

This was achieved by:

Adding a pocket door which eliminated the door swinging into the toilet, gaining us some precious real estate.

Selecting a smaller profile toilet and highly reflective finishes.

Customizing the vanity to a dark navy colour which grounds the eyes and adds visual interest.

Installing Covelano Hexagon Marble on the floor to make the space appear larger.

Continuing that same tile with a curb less entry into the shower exaggerating the visual line.

Maximizing the 10’ ceiling by installing 12x24 Dolomite tile vertically exaggerating height and evoking grandeur.

Christine says that “Every design process paves the road to a perfectly executed space.”

The design is testament to this ensuite’s outcome.

And I was more than happy to be a part of this process.

On to the next project …
