We purchased this property just after our Ajax flip about 10 years ago. As we are ‘buy and hold’ investors we decided to renovate and rent this property with the proceeds of the flip. We managed to renovate one of the two units as the upper unit was rented immediately to a young family of five.
Over the years, the apartment experienced the normal wear and tear. When this family moved out (way out west to B.C.), we ceased the opportunity to give the unit a much-needed facelift.
The remodel included: brand-new kitchen, bathroom, new floors, trims, window coverings and freshly updated paint throughout.
After a summer of work, the new tenants moved in and are now enjoying their new space.
